Acknowledgements
Acknowledgement and thanks are due to Robert Stearns, curator of the exhibition, Russel Wright: Living with Good Design; and to Arts Midwest its sponsor, for seeking my participation in this project. Both are due special thanks for a sympathetic listening to my urging for greater attention to the important events of the latter part of Russel Wright's life. Everyone at Manitoga has always supported my every effort to shed light on the work of Russel and Mary Wright. For this I am most appreciative. All the staff in the Special Collections Department of the Byrd Library at Syracuse University have met my repeated visits over the years with kindness and complete cooperation. Special thanks must be given to Carol Franklin, landscape architect, principal at Andropogon Associates in Philadelphia, and the person who has worked most on, and understood best, the fullness of Wright's extraordinary accomplishments at Manitoga.
Most special thanks of all to Mazal, who got it all from the first, and was patient with me as I caught up.
